    Was painted after John had moved from Hereford to London between 1965-1970. At this time he took up a teaching post in a Secondary Modern school (as they used to call a Junior school then) in Harlesden, where he succeeded in some children passing a top-grade in Art.

    It is not known where this painting was developed, as John's life was changing again between 1976-1980. He continued to work at St. Mary's College of Art in Twickenham, London till around 1980-81. He moved to Cerrigydrudion, North Wales in 1980.

1965 – 1980 20

John moved from Hereford back to London to work and taught in an inner-city school in Harlesden to start with. Then managed to acquire a higher post again at St. Mary’s College of Art, Strawberry Hill, (Warpoles house converted into a College) in Twickenham, London 1965-1966.
